Bonnet Spring DVD
Bonnet Spring DVD

This video features Bonnet Spring at Peacock Springs, in Luraville, FL. Bonnet Spring is considered an advanced cave dive and requires permission from the Park Ranger at Peacock Springs State Park. The cave passage is small with restrictions and silt. The video begins entering the cave and continuing up the main line to the 4 way T. We take the right leg of the T and do the downstream circuit. The left leg of the 4 way T joins the upstream main line. Upon returning to the 4 way T, we proceed upstream on the main line. On the exit, we included the 4th leg of the 4 way T so that we arrived back at the 4 way T and had covered all 3 passages. Special thanks to our excellent divers, Kelly Jessop and Jim Womble who navigated the tight and silty passages flawlessly.

Minotauro DVD
Minotauro DVD

This digital video features cenote Minotauro in Akumal, Mexico. We entered the Minotauro system at the cenote Minotauro. There is an upstream and downstream system at this cenote.

We dove upstream and completed a circuit which included an incredible salt water halocline. There is a tremendous amount of breakdown in this fragile and beautiful cave system. This is one of our favorite dives.

NoHoch Nah Chich DVD
NoHoch Nah Chich DVD

This digital video features NoHoch Nah Chich in Tulum, Mexico. After a 40 minute hike through the jungle over a rough and rocky path, we arrived at the cenote that was 35ft below ground level. The cavern area extends back under the rock giving a nice exiting view from the dives.

Our tanks were hauled in by donkeys the day before our dive and our gear was carried in the same way while we walked to Nohoch. Our first dive was up the main line about 2300ft penetration. On the main line just after 2000 ft penetration, you will see a styrofoam cup attached to the main line with 100ft written on it. One hundred feet later, you will see the 200 ft marked styrofoam cup and then 100ft later the 300ft styrofoam cup. At this cup, we jumped to the left and swam about 100 ft to an opening to the surface that Connie calls "Dinner Hole". It is just large enough for 4-5 divers to have a chat. On our exit, we stopped at the cenote the the left of the main line near the exit. This cenote has a platform with a ladder going up to the small hole in the ceiling of the cavern. This was used as a film changing area for the early exploration dives. Our second dive, we took the first jump to the left which is the Parker Turner line and then took the next jump to the left. We then returned to go upstream Parker's line. We were limited on our 2nd dive since we used one set of tanks for both dives. The maximum depth for both dives was 20 feet.

For the Nohoch video, we switched the dives and our 2nd dive is seen first in the video. The reason is that it was our favorite dive at Nohoch.

Calimba DVD
Calimba DVD

This digital video features the traverse from Calimba cenote downstream to the Grand Cenote of Sak Aktun in Tulum, Mexico. We entered the Sak Aktun system at the cenote Calimba, which is inside a dry cave just off of Coba Rd.

The ceiling is low and is not as simple as jumping into a cenote. This can be a challenging entry for someone who is 6 ft tall or more. One has to be very careful entering the water and not trashing the entrance pool for the team. This traverse had tons of delicate white formations that looked like they came off of a wedding cake. The path winds around quite a bit and you have to go slowly. Please do NOT dive this cave if you are not excellent with your bouyancy. There were several small restrictions and we recommend that your team not be more than 4 divers. There are many interesting.. ok.. alluring jumps that were screaming "Dive me". We traversed to Grande Cenote via the Paso de Lagarto passage and jumped onto the exiting jump line to the Grande Cenote, that we had layed earlier on our morning dive to the Cuzan Nah passage in the Sak Aktun system. The traverse was over 3000 feet and the maximum depth was 41 feet. The water temperature was 77 degrees. Exiting at Grande Cenote is a beautiful sight. This is one of our favorite dives.
